About SoCal Crash Report

An independent accident-information resource

SoCal Crash Report organizes recent Southern California accident information and helps people locate incidents and the official resources for requesting a report.

SoCal Crash Report is an independent Southern California accident-information and accident-report-assistance resource. We compile recent accident information from public sources and help people find the official resources for requesting a report. We are not a government agency or a law-enforcement department, and we do not issue or hold official reports.

What we do

  • Organize recent Southern California accident information into browsable location and type hubs.
  • Help people locate a specific incident with Find My Accident.
  • Identify the official resources for requesting an accident report from the responding agency.
  • Provide sourced, plain-language information about accidents and reports.

What we are not

SoCal Crash Report is not a police department, a government agency, or an official crash-report database, and we are not the issuing authority for accident reports. The responding agency’s official resource is always the authoritative source for an official report.

How we work

Every published accident record is compiled from public sources and reviewed before it appears. Our Editorial Standards explain how we select sources, verify information, and handle updates and corrections. Our Sources page describes the kinds of sources we rely on.
