Corrections

How to report an error, how we review it, and how verified corrections update an accident record.

If something on an accident page looks wrong, tell us and we will review it. Use the form below to report an error. We do not change public accident information based on a submission alone — verified corrections are applied after review, and the page shows an updated date.

How to report an error

Fill in the form below with as much detail as you can. Telling us which accident and what specifically is wrong helps us verify and act on it quickly.

What information helps

  • The accident page URL, or the date and location of the collision.
  • What specifically is inaccurate, and what the correct information is.
  • A source we can check, if you have one.

How we review corrections

A correction is reviewed by our editorial team and checked against sources. If it is verified, we update the canonical accident record; the corrected page then shows the updated information and an updated date. If we cannot verify a change, we do not alter the public facts on the strength of a submission alone.
